Rivvalry is an app for running a padel group’s game nights — RSVPs, team draws, scoring, standings and player profiles. This page explains what it stores, why, and who else can see it. It is written to describe what the software actually does.
What we collect
Account. If you create an account with email and password, we store your email address and a display name. If you sign in with Google instead, Google gives us the basic profile it is asked for — your name and email address. We never receive your Google password.
Player profile. Optional details you choose to add: a photo, birthday, short bio, which hand you play with and which side of the court you prefer. All optional; the app works without them.
Game data. The things you do in a community: which events you RSVP to, which dates you vote for, match scores, the resulting standings, skill rating and any achievements earned.
What we do not collect. There is no analytics, no advertising, no tracking pixels and no third-party trackers of any kind in this app. We do not sell or rent data to anyone, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles.
Why we store it
Only to make the app work: to sign you in, to show who is coming to a night, to run the draw and the scoring, and to keep season standings and profiles. That is the whole purpose.
Who else can see it
Other members. Within a community, your display name, profile details, attendance and results are visible to other people using that community. Community pages and player profiles can be viewed without an account, so treat what you put in a bio as public.
Service providers. We use a small number of services to run the app:
- Supabase — hosts the database and handles sign-in. Your account and game data are stored there.
- Cloudflare — serves the website and, as with any web host, processes the network requests needed to deliver it.
- Google — only if you choose to sign in with Google.
- Google Fonts — serves the typefaces. Loading a font means your browser contacts Google, which receives your IP address as part of that request.
Keeping and deleting your data
Your data is kept while your account exists. You can edit or clear your profile details at any time from your profile page. To delete your account and the personal data attached to it, email us at the address below and we will remove it.
Match results that other people took part in may remain as part of a community’s history, since a scoreline belongs to everyone who played it — but it can be detached from your account.
Your rights
If you are in the EU or UK you have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to how it is used. Email us and we will act on it. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
Rivvalry is not aimed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top of this page.
